"Jungle Heart is one of the best
albums in any genre that I have
heard in years. ...This is a great record -- great songs, great sound,
great performances."
- Tom Prasada-Rao,
Singer/Songwriter, Dallas, TX "Annie Lalley is one of the
funniest and most likable personalities you'll ever see on stage --which makes
the depth of her songwriting all the more striking"
- Pierce
Pettis, Singer/Songwriter, Compass
Records, Nashville, TN
"[Annie Lalley's] second indie release covers a wide range of styles...the musicianship is faultless, the songs well-constructed..."
- Robert Mills, Maverick Magazine, UK
Sitting in the audience at an Annie
Lalley show I find myself bouncing through my own catalog of emotions like a
pinball. I'm moved deeply one moment, only to be struggling for breath through
my laughter the next. Her clear, haunting voice delivers well-crafted songs
without pretense, then she pulls you back with endearingly scattered
self-deprecating humor that is even funnier for its honesty and relevance. I
catch Annie whenever I can. It's good for the soul.
- David Lamotte, Singer/Songwriter
"It is a strong clear beautiful voice. It made you want to close your eyes and listen."
- Andrew Street, Out 'n About Magazine
"Few performers could present themselves in such an emotionally naked way without appearing contrived."
- Jim Magill, The Mountain Express
"Best Album by Local Artist: Anne Lalley's long awaited debut recording
Promise was tremendous. She sure can sing."
- Tony Kiss, Asheville Citizen-Times, Asheville, NC
"[Annie Lalley and Joe Ebel] are perfect musical complements , encouraging and working off of each other musically...
their music sounds different, authentic. Not like the typical paint-by-numbers music played on radio."
-
Nancy Stetson, The Naples Daily News, Naples, Florida
"When I first popped Annie
Lalley's CD into my toaster, there was a horrible
smell . . . but I got used to it"
- Pierce
Pettis, Singer/Songwriter, Compass Records Recording Artist
